Reviews
*Update*- I am still giving it 5 stars. I've received notifications when the gates broke as well as when there was a fire inspection.
I am pleased to say that I haven't had any issues so far. I moved in recently and everything has been exceptional, relative to other reviews. I was nervous due to the negative reviews, but I decided to take my chances because I really loved the floor plan. Will try to sum it up and break down into categories so you can skip to the part that most interest you.
Leasing Staff:
Leading with the lack of communication. I don't believe Martina nor the Leasing manager ( Female) intentionally ignore and/or put off the residents. I honestly believe they are overworked. We have to understand that there are over 100 residents here so we have to be patient and understanding that there are only two leasing consultants. I do feel as if the guys do the bare minimum. I haven't interacted with them much, but the 3 times I was in the office, I noticed they were ducked off in a corner on their laptops. Granted, that could be their duties, but things would run more efficient if they would help. The first time I toured the property it seemed like neither leasing agent wanted to tour me, because they were so overwhelmed with work. I did get toured, but the only reason part of me wanted to live there was the floor plan. I decided to give it one last shot and toured again. This time, the leasing staff were energetic and thoroughly explained the property and amenities. Martina Barton showed me around and I couldn't have been more pleased. She informed me that they were having a move in special so I submitted an application the same day. I had a deadline to move so things went quickly for me. I submitted an application on Friday and moved in on Tuesday.
Maintenance:
I have no complaints. I've already submitted 3 minor requests and they were addressed the same day.
Neighbors/Grounds:
This property is so quiet and beautiful! The only foot traffic you really see are people walking their dogs. People do need to clean up after their pets though. Not sure why they don't; seeing that bags are provided. Everyone is so friendly! The pond is disgusting though. Wish they would clean it. Maybe even if it is once every 2 months. They even pressure wash the stairwells!!
Unit:
My unit was thoroughly cleaned prior to me moving in. I don't have any bugs or pests. I love that I have a storage closet on my balcony. I can keep my cleaning tools there. The only con is that the apartment doors are inside a hallway that echoes every time a door is shut or someone talks so it does sound extremely loud. I am ok with noise so it doesn't really bother me that much, but I can see it bothering others if people are going in and out all day. another thing is the washer. It is extremely loud even with the door shut. Again, this is something I can tolerate, but others may not want to.
Summary:
I enjoy this property and would recommend to others. I did get a garage to minimize any type of damage or theft to my vehicle. Not saying the truck in the other review wasn't stolen or broken into, but there are a lot of luxury cars that are parked in the regular parking spaces so I don't think this type of thing occurs often. Luxury being ( Tesla, BMW, Mercedes, Cadillacs)
I would like to share my honest observations about The Sarah to help contribute to its ongoing improvement. While I rate it 3 out of 5 for providing a generally above-average experience, there are some opportunities for enhancement.
One concern is the dog park, which seems more like a communal toilet without sufficient initiative for regular cleaning. Additionally, the recent trash policy, while understandable, highlights inconsistencies in the actual trash pick-up service we pay for. For the first 6 months, I found the service to be unreliable, prompting me to handle it myself.
Attached is evidence of the facility not meeting expectations, raising questions about the standards we’re expected to uphold. Moreover, the media room by the gym needs updating, and overall facility maintenance could be improved.
While The Sarah offers spacious apartments and is generally pleasant, these areas of concern make me hesitant to sign another lease here. I hope this feedback contributes positively to future improvements for residents.
When I say I love it here I love it here I moved in for my birthday last month is so peaceful so quiet the scenery it’s like you wanna vacation great parking very nice office staff including the manager he’s very involved.
I was in a bit of a pickle and I had to move out of my apartment pretty quickly my last apartment had mold not here but somewhere else they were able to give me a proof within a two day turnaround and move in by the following week. They did everything in their power to make sure the apartment was ready and I appreciate them for that. That’s why I recommend anybody looking for home to move here let them know bridal sent you.
I am so happy to have my new apartment here at this residence. I love everything about it! The security, the pools and even the little dog park for me and my pup. Shey was absolutely amazing. She helped us from the beginning and showed me everything the apartment had to offer. I looked at a one bedroom that has space for me to work from home and Shey knew exactly what I was looking for and took me on a great tour. Thank you again I cannot wait to settle in and use the rest of the amenities. Thank you Shey and the Sarah team!!
This has been an issue ever since we applied. The run backgrounds with first advantage which pulls up inaccurate information that’s doesn’t match to your credit report. I’ve even got letter from other credible credit sources stating their information was wrong. We asked for a refund of the admin fee ($200) we paid 300 total but application fee is no refundable. They wrote us a check which o received in three business. I go to cash the check and it bounced. This was the day before thanksgiving. I still don’t have a resolution to the problem. The property manager doesn’t handle business in a timely manner. He said that he would take care of it today but when I called back the other employee told me he left for the day. I would not recommend the entering process is dreadful and a bit unprofessional. To close I still have not received my refund.
All I have to say is wow. Just wow. I just moved to Houston and I was welcomed so warmingly by one of the leasing agents Shey! She was such a joy and answered all my inquiries with ease and the best smile, haven't had a property tour that amazing in a while! Ask for her! She's great!
The Sarah is such a beautiful community! Shey did amazing at telling us about all their amenities and giving us some recommendations on dinner spots in the neighborhood since we are big foodies! I’m waiting until they have that B3 floor plan open and then I’ll be able to make this place my beautiful new home 🤍 …
i’m new to the community and so far i’m loving it! my peace is most important and i can truly say it’s been peaceful thus far. Shay welcomed us with open arms, was nice, and very thorough in informing us about the community. The agents in the office i’ve met seem very nice. I’m enjoying my stay!
